This fixture was developed by leveraging mechanical concepts and design principle.

This fixture is designed for clamping the raw material into specific orientation for CNC machining to develop the required part into least amount of setups and orientations to increase production and reduce machining and setup times.

Results

This fixture was used in mass production of the given aerospace component and which lead in 40% reduced setups times , orientation times ad overall reduction in cycle times for production.
